Why the week costs what it does
Davos is a town of about 11,000 people. For one week in January, demand for beds far exceeds what the town has. Many hotel rooms are committed to the conference months ahead, and what remains, private apartments included, is let at the price the week supports.
What moves the price
Distance to the Congress Centre. The closer the walk, the higher the price.
Inside or outside the security perimeter. Hotels inside cost the most.
Layout. Two bathrooms and a place to work cost more than two bedrooms alone.
When you book. Booking early gives you more properties to choose from.
How to spend less
Stay in Davos Dorf rather than Platz. House a team in one chalet instead of several apartments. Take the train and book a driver only for the days that matter. Book early, because the lowest-priced apartments go first.
